Weekend Warrior | July 20 - July 21, 2024
Greetings, Weekend Warriors!
It's wild how fast the summer has gone! This has been a busy summer for sure. At the Amy Jones Group, we are coming off of moving and we are so excited to be settling in during the next few days. We cannot wait to have you over to see the new space!
During the next couple of weeks, many families will be getting ready for the beginning of the school year. This weekend is the last weekend we are running our backpack drive so if you still have supplies to donate, drop off, or want to schedule a pick up - message us at [email protected]!
Even though the summer is nearing an end (on the school calendar, at least - not exactly with these temps!) we still have you covered on all the happenings around the valley and in some of our favorite neighborhoods. You can catch that and all the details on our big move this month, what's happening in your local market, and some of our top picks for events around the Valley below!
🗓️ Market Update July 2024 🗓️
Summer Might Be Quiet...Or it Might Be the Calm Before the Storm You've Been Waiting For
It’s been a big week in the world of real estate as many states, including Arizona, released all new forms to help the consumer make more informed choices about who they work with when buying and selling a home. While there will certainly be a period of adjustment for many buyers who aren’t used to signing anything with their agent prior to kicking off their home search, we’re super excited to have the opportunity to share the difference that working with our team at the Amy Jones Group can make before, during, and after your home purchase.
In fact, there’s big changes for our sellers too - more transparency and the chance to negotiate based on a better picture of your bottom line when comparing offers. If you’ve worked with us before, you know that we get to know your needs during our initial consultation but if that process is new to you, I’d invite you to reach out to experience the difference.
As sellers get used to a more balance market, we’re seeing some price weakness come as price reductions increase and those negotiations become even more important around other components of the contract including compensation, concessions, and terms. With new listings finally plateauing at about 75% of our normal active inventory, weak supply and weak demand are nearly in balance creating an opportunity for real estate professionals to work tirelessly to get their clients the upper hand.
I’m curious, what conditions would make moving just a little more interesting knowing the monthly payments you could expect in this market - is there a change to your existing home that would be the single most important driver of that move? When was the last time you took a peek at the numbers behind making that kind of move and when will you know that it’s the right time for you and your family? These are just some of the questions we’re asking our clients and we'd love to hear your answers.
Our client consultations have always been intended to help you work through your options and really get to know your family's needs but now more than ever it's important that we sit down and review where you've come from, where you are at, and where you are headed - let us know if sitting down and strategizing how these updates impact you makes sense ❤️ .
We'd love to meet you! Find a time that works for you and your family!
In a digital world, it's nice to connect in person. Our team of full time real estate agents (and mommas!) are here to answer your questions and chances are, if you have them - we've had them to! The local Arizona real estate market can be tricky if all you've got to go off of is click bait and old news - we've got the most current stats and can share with you exactly what our clients are seeing...
🏡 REALTORS MOVE TOO! 🏡

We are so excited for our new set up and will be inviting you to come by for a few open houses so that we can catch up but take a peek at some of the pictures of our new digs below!
🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT 🎒
We Need Your Help!
Every child deserves a backpack filled with the supplies they need for a successful school year. The Amy Jones Group and Community on Purpose are currently collecting backpacks, pencils, pens, scissors, pencil pouches, crayons, markers, highlighters, multi-color folders, water and gift cards for purchasing additional school supplies in partnership with Mesa Prevention Alliance and Community Bridges for their annual Back 2 School event this summer.
This event not only helps bring Mesa families free backpacks stuffed with school supplies and resources to ensure youth, parents, and guardians are prepared for the start of the new school year, but it also will connect them with resources and support within the community.
For more information on donating supplies, running a drive in your community, or scheduling a pickup of your donations (our agents are always on the go!), send us an email at [email protected]. Supplies are due in our new office by July 23rd!
